About Us

Greater Falls Connections is a public health community coalition made up of a diverse group of community members including parents, youth, educators, social service providers, business owners, health care providers, civil servants, artists, and others. 

 

The vision of Greater Falls Connections is to build a healthy, nurturing, equitable, and supportive community in and around Bellows Falls.

​

We serve the Windham Northeast Supervisory Union (WNESU), including Rockingham (Bellows Falls, Saxtons River, Bartonsville, Brockways Mills, and Cambridgeport), Westminster, Grafton, and Athens.

What We Do

GFC focuses on community initiatives and prevention efforts.

Empower youth in our community by centering their voices, visions, and dreams.

Offer dynamic workshops for parents/caregivers, educators, and local providers.

Work with the most impacted by substance abuse to find solutions.

Host engaging, courageous conversations that strengthen community connections.

Create rich collaborations that lead to real change.

Center our efforts in equity by building bridges.

Provide information and resources for prevention of substance misuse with the greater community.

Hold gatherings with guest speakers, discussions, and presentations on community initiatives and prevention efforts.

NEWS

​Transgender Support Groups

Every first Thursday the Greater Rockingham LGBTQIA+ Group offers free peer support groups for transgender folks. Teens, 13-17, meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and adults, 18+, meet from 6  to 7 p.m. The meetings are held at Parks Place. Snacks will be provided. The groups will be led by a transgender staff member.

LGBTQIA+ Hangout

Join us for a FREE hangout for LGBTQIA+ members, ages 18 and old on the second Saturday of each month .  For September and October we invite you to hang out with us as we table at community events,  September 14th we'll be at The Westminster Community Festival.  October 12 we'll be at the Apple Festival in Springfield, VT.
