Computer Skills Training for the Workplace

The Springfield Area Working Communities Challenge (WCC) in collaboration with River Valley Technical Center (RVTC), and Greater Falls Connections (GFC) is providing a FREE in-person Computer Skills Training for the Workplace classes. The training is available for those who live in the Springfield area.*

The training will provide participants with the foundational knowledge needed for using a computer and to improve their workplace skills. Included in the training will be laptop and desktop basics, email, and Google apps and cloud storage.

Participants who complete all five (5) required sessions and meet program qualifications will receive a FREE laptop.


  • Windsor Resource Center in Windsor on Tuesdays, June 11 to July 9, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

The deadline to register is Friday, May 31. To enroll in the training, call 802-885-8300.

*The Springfield area includes the towns of: Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Grafton, Londonderry, Ludlow, Plymouth, Reading, Rockingham (including Bellows Falls and Saxtons River), Springfield, Weathersfield, West Windsor, Weston, Windham, and Windsor.

Transgender Support Groups

Every third Thursday the Greater Rockingham LGBTQIA+ Group offers free peer support groups for transgender folks. Teens, 13-17, meet from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and adults, 18+, meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The meetings are held at Parks Place. Snacks will be provided. The groups will be led by a transgender staff member.

Join us for a FREE hangout for LGBTQIA+ members, ages 18 and old. Stop by Parks Place from 2-4pm on the second Saturday of each month for writing, crafting, reading, gaming, or just hanging out.
